The song's lyrics "Watu wa Turkana, tuko nyuma ya baba" wafted through the quiet air setting the aura of celebrations. Some friends of Odinga led by Turkana ODM chairman Lazarus Ayang'an shook a led dancing gracefully to the beautiful music.

Margret Eramram, representing ODM women league in Turkana, said they are celebrating the Raila's 77th birthday owing to his dedicated efforts towards fighting for the rights of Kenyans and the democracy. Azimio la Umoja supporters promised to vote in Raila Odinga as their fifth president of the Republic of Kenya in the forthcoming mega poll.

"We want to tell Raila Odinga that he has our full support come August general election this year. We are not ready to be influenced by anybody from nowhere," said ODM youth Chair Paul Lokopir. Eramram said that through Odinga's leadership they will realize their potential as women who have been struggling for recognition and support.
